BROTHERHOOD, a socio-cultural organization, has been organizing various orientation, interaction and association programmes to bridge the gap in perception between children with disability and other children in schools since 1994 through the ORIENTATION, INTERACTION AND ASSOCIATION MODEL (OIA MODEL). The OIA model is recognized by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) during the International Year of Volunteers-2001. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Statutory Body of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment also recognized the OIA model and is planning to take this model to other parts of the country in the near future.
